technical Description and performance
The lung can create a maximal depression of 50mbar. Hence we tested our valve up to 100mbar. To demonstrate the functionality of the valve, the flow versus the pressure is shown. During the measurement, the flow rose constantly from 0 to 330cm³/s. The limitation valve (blue curve) had been compared with a small orifice (red curve). The resulting curves are reproducible and show constant flow rate at any inspiratory pressure (Q = 150cm³/s).

Conclusion
The advantage of the newly developed valve is that it can be adapted to almost any commercially available aerosol device. The flow limiting valve is easy to use, economically. It can improve conventional and recently developed inhalation systems.
The benefit of the limitation valve is efficiently deposition and a reduced variability of the medicamentation.
